Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 7, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and CreativeHadleyDike LLC (“Creative HadleyDike,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply when you use creativehadleydike.com, our course and student portal, our free resources, our sewing patterns and pattern blocks, and our coaching and live sessions (together, our “Services”).

By using our Services or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our Services.

1. Who can use our Services

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian’s permission, to buy from us or create an account.

2. Your account

  • Course and Academy accounts are for one person only. Please don’t share your login or course access with anyone else.
  • Keep your password safe, and let us know if you think someone else has used your account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that is shared or that breaks these Terms.

3. Purchases and payments

  • Prices are shown at checkout in US dollars. We may change prices at any time, but a change won’t affect a purchase you’ve already made.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal, Shopify or Etsy. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Payment plans: some offers, including the Pattern Making Academy, can be paid in installments. If you choose a payment plan, you agree to make every scheduled payment. If a payment fails and isn’t fixed, we may pause your access until your account is up to date.
  • Patterns bought on Etsy or our Shopify store also follow that platform’s own terms and policies.

4. Refunds

Our courses, the Academy, guides, sewing patterns and other digital products are delivered instantly, so all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable.

If something goes wrong with your purchase, such as a file that won’t download or trouble getting into a course, email christina@creativehadleydike.com and we’ll make it right. We may choose to give a refund or credit in special situations. Doing that once doesn’t mean we have to do it again.

Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank. Most problems can be fixed quickly by email. If you file a chargeback for a product you received, we may close your access to our courses and Services.

5. Courses and the Pattern Making Academy

Self-paced courses

When you buy a self-paced course, you get lifetime access, meaning access for as long as we offer the course and run the course platform. We may update, improve or reorganize course content over time. If we ever stop offering a course, we’ll try to give you reasonable notice and a chance to download materials where possible.

Academy membership

The Pattern Making Academy has two parts:

  • Self-paced courses that come with the Academy. You keep lifetime access to these, as described above, even if your membership ends.
  • Membership benefits, which include monthly trainings, implementation hours, weekly office hours, patterning parties and bi-weekly accountability. You can join these only while your membership is active.

Memberships renew automatically and you’ll be charged each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time before your next billing date. When you cancel, your membership benefits continue until the end of the period you’ve paid for and then stop. We don’t refund partial billing periods. If you joined on a payment plan, cancelling doesn’t cancel the payments left on your plan.

Live sessions and recordings

  • Live sessions are held on Zoom and are recorded so students can rewatch them. When you join, you agree to be included in the recording if your camera or mic is on or you post in chat.
  • Recordings are for enrolled students only. Please don’t download, share or post them anywhere else.
  • Be kind and respectful in live sessions, comments and community spaces. We may remove anyone who harasses others, spams, or shares other people’s work without permission.

6. Sewing patterns and pattern blocks

When you buy a pattern or pattern block, you get a license to use it. You don’t own the pattern design or the files.

Personal use (every pattern): you may print and use the pattern to sew items for yourself, your family and gifts.

Selling items you sew yourself: you may also sell finished items made from our patterns, as long as:

  • you sew every item yourself. There’s no limit on how many items you make.
  • you credit “Pattern by Creative HadleyDike” in your listing or product description.

Production license: if you want anyone else to sew items for you to sell, such as a factory, a contractor, a seamstress or a production team, you need a separate production license first. Email christina@creativehadleydike.com to ask about one.

If a pattern’s listing gives a different license, the listing applies.

Not allowed with any pattern, ever:

  • sharing, copying, reselling, trading or giving away the pattern files or printed copies
  • uploading the files to any website, group, or file-sharing service
  • changing a pattern slightly and selling it, or teaching it, as your own pattern

7. Who owns the content

Everything in our Services belongs to CreativeHadleyDike LLC and is protected by copyright and other laws. That includes courses, videos, recordings, workbooks, templates, patterns, blocks, graphics, quizzes, emails, website text and our logo.

You may use what you buy or download for your own learning and sewing. You may not copy, record, resell, share or redistribute it, or use it to create a competing course, product or service.

You’re welcome to share what you make using our methods. We love seeing your work!

8. Content you share with us

If you post comments, questions, project photos or feedback in our courses, community or live sessions, you still own your content. You give us permission to show it inside the course and community so other students can learn from it.

We will always ask before using your name, photos or words in public marketing, such as testimonials on our website or social media.

9. Pattern Making Services

Freelance pattern making, grading, digitizing and other client work is covered by a separate written agreement for each project. That agreement covers pricing, deposits, timelines, revisions and who owns the finished patterns. If anything in it conflicts with these Terms, the project agreement applies.

10. Free resources

Free guides, roadmaps, quizzes and other freebies are for your personal use. Please don’t sell them, share the files, or post them anywhere else. You’re always welcome to share the link to the sign-up page instead.

11. Software and other companies

We teach skills in software made by other companies, such as CLO3D, Adobe Illustrator and Affinity Designer. We’re not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies unless we say so. You’re responsible for getting your own software licenses and a computer that meets their requirements.

Our Services may link to other websites and platforms. We’re not responsible for their content, products or policies.

12. Results and business disclaimer

We teach real skills and share what has worked for us and our students, but we can’t guarantee any specific results. That includes fit, skill level, pattern sales, income or business success. Your results depend on your own effort, experience, tools and many other things outside our control.

Our content is for educational purposes and is not legal, financial or tax advice.

13. Disclaimers and limits of liability

Our Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep everything accurate and working, but we can’t promise the Services will always be error-free or available without interruption.

As far as the law allows, CreativeHadleyDike LLC won’t be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, that come from your use of our Services. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to cover any claims, costs or damages that come from your misuse of our Services or from breaking these Terms.

14. Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, you agree to get texts from us as described in our Privacy Policy. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

15. Ending access

We may suspend or end your access to our Services if you break these Terms, especially by sharing logins, files or recordings. If we do, you won’t get a refund.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. If you have a concern, please email us first. We’ll try in good faith to sort it out informally. If we can’t, any legal action will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If you keep using our Services after a change, that means you accept the updated Terms.
