Creativity is essential to me. I am a Creator Artist and I gather inspiration from everything – from items around me to books to nature!!! My imagination comes up with some crazy ideas. I love bringing those crazy ideas to life and to be honest some work out much better than others!! I have worked in the theatre industry for over 10 years. As a costumer in theater, I have built some amazing costumes!!! I received my MFA in Costume Technology from Indiana University and that is where I first found Wearable technology. I created an independent study to teach myself and have never stopped!!!
I am excited to share my different creative projects including:
- up-cycled and altering clothing
- pattern drafting in adobe illustrated, printing off the patterns and making the garments
- light up jewelry and clothing
- creation on historical undergarments to building the outer layers
- 3-D printing

What I do
Creator Artist is the process after seeing the initial design. This is a time to explore different options and ideas of how to bring the initial designs to completion. During the creating process different applications can inspire a change to the initial design. My second favorite part is seeing the final product in three-dimensional form. Seeing how the final project directly resembles the initial design and sometimes where you were inspired to change and alter the design. I find the process of creating to be a place of imagination because ideas spark from everywhere. Mistakes and missteps can even help change a project for the better and inspire a different or new vision. The creative process can either maintain or change the initial design but no matter what the creative process transforms initial designs into beautiful dreams.
