Entertaining Reindeer Headband – Quick and easy to make -

Create your own unique Reindeer Headband headband with antlers and add some LED lights if you are feeling adventurous!!! What’s even cooler is that you can make it really fast. Let’s get creating

Designing the final Look

The simple and warm headband I wanted to create! It has antlers, which is so cool. Plus you can choose whether your band will be lit up by LED lights or not- that’s a really fun added feature too huh? It is super simple to create!!! Grab the pattern and get started creating your own fun Headband!!!!

Making the Reindeer Headband

Start by cutting out the pattern pieces. Make sure that you cut two pieces of the headband either with the fabric folded or cut two out separately.

Time to make the Antlers. I choose to cut a circle around the antlers instead of perfectly cutting them out. Next, I sewed using a tight zig-zag stitch all around the pattern. I chose not to mark on my fabric since the fabric would not be turned inside out. I did this because sometimes when in cold temperatures the disappearing ink can come back.

Using the paper pattern as the guide zig-zag around the antler pattern. Cat close to the zig-zag and then finally stuff the Antlers. Stuffing can take the most time for the entire project!!! I used a pencil eraser to help manipulate the batting into the top of the antlers. I found that the rubber help me put the batting where I was hoping to.

Time to make the headband. Serge the top and bottom of the headband and then flip them right side out. This is not something you have to do if you like the Serge edge look. Next, I did another zig-zag stitch using the sewing foot as a guide line and stitch the seam allowance down. Finally, I stitched the center back seam together.

Time to place the antlers onto the headband!!!! I always love to try it on and see what the placement will look like. Next, hand sew the antlers on and finish by adding the details at the base.
