Designing the Hair Bow

I always like to make my hair bows a little bigger than what they really should be but I love bows. I think they are a fun addition to your hair. They are also great for celebrating any holiday or a pick-me-up to make you or someone else smile!!!

Building the Hair Bow

I love how easy hair bows are to pattern. It is a whole bunch of rectangles. I used one large rectangle () for the large bow portion. Two smaller rectangles () for the two tails. On this patter I cut off one edge to create the point detail. Finally, one small rectangle () to hold the gathering of the large rectangle together.

Once all the rectangles are sewn together and turned to the right side of the fabric then it is time to assemble the bow and all the hair clip.

I have a fun and quick class on how to build your first sewable light-up project!!! Enroll here so that you can also be making these fun light-up projects. Once you get started and learn some of the basics you will be able to create some amazing products that everyone will love!!!

Final Hair Bow

Here it is!!! I am so excited to wear this hair bow around today!!! Although I may not have it turned on all day the tune is great fun but should only be on for short bits of time. Maybe next time I will code the board differently and use a button to have it play once through. These is always next may 4th!!!
