I love to wear garments for myself on Valentine’s Day!!! And if I was the one who designed patterned and create it then that makes me even happier!!!

Designing the Pattern Draft a valentine’s day shirt
Sometimes when I am designing a new shirt I don’t have a plan. I begin with my sloper pattern and begin cutting it apart or creating new necklines and see what inspiration comes. That is how this particular shirt came about I was messing around with design lines and then decided I wanted a sweetheart neckline. Next came the idea to rouche at the center front and create a fun flounce under the waist.
Drafting the Pattern Draft a valentine’s day shirt
Now that I had the basics of the shape it is time to actually manipulate the garment. mostly drawing on where the design lines will be placed. Then add a new layer and trace on top. This is how the basic pattern pieces were created. Next, comes patterning the flounce and I chose to do a quarter of a circle. I used the same process of drafting a circle skirt with the length being only 10 inches.
Final look and Print out the pattern
The last thing that needs to happen is to add all the grain lines and notches to ensure that you are putting the correct pieces together!!! This part is always different depending on the person creating the pattern as well as who is building the Pattern Draft a Knit Valentine’s day shirt.
